Daddy and Me Bird Feeder

Jason had a grand idea to make a bird feeder out of a juice jug.  We saw it somewhere in a magazine or on the web. So out to the work shop we all went.  Katelyn helped as much as she could or as long as she stayed in the garage.  This kind of turned into a daddy project too.  He likes to watch the birds outside the window on our previous feeder, before it broke.

Making more ledge holes

Sadly, this feeder didn't last very long.  It was too heavy for the fishing line they used to tie it to the tree branch outside the dining room window and the birds never came to it.  So it dumped on the ground and the squirrels and doves had a good feed with a few sparrows thrown in.  It was a nice attempt to feed the birds. (Mary Poppins is now going through my head, "Feed the birds, topins a bag")

The Budding Artist

This was one of the first nice days in March.  So nice in fact, we could go without jackets.  At least Katelyn went without a jacket.  We had our first picnic on the lawn and someone wanted to paint.  Into her "private studio" went the budding artist along with her sippy cup of juice and a tuna sandwich.  Please don't judge me on how long her hair is.  I don't know why I waited so long to get it cut, but it has been cut which makes her look oh so cute!

Terrible, only the 2nd pregnant picture I've taken
Someone was hiding from me.  I can't seem to figure out where she is or who my pillow is hiding.  "Here I am mommy!"

Let's Go Fly A Kite

Jason has fond memories of flying kites.  I forget where he saw this cheap princess kite, but he thought he had to get it for Katelyn.  It was a cold but windy enough day, sometime in march, to try out Cinderella.  We sure didn't stay out long, because Katelyn was making a fuss about her darn zipper on her jacket.  We can't get her to keep it zipped past her belly button.  So tears were poured the whole time we were across the street.  Cinderella flew really well, but K wanted no part of it.  So mommy and daddy had a few kicks with it and promptly went inside after a few minutes because it was cold.  Thankfully, this was one of the last days of snow we had.

Cuddling with Dad

The giggles could be heard throughout the small house.  Pure love and joy expressed between a father and his little girl.
