She's a Pill

Katelyn is just getting be such a big girl and such fun, in between the strong will fights we can have with each other. This girl can be stubborn and if it's not her idea, then she ain't gonna do it! Some might say she's like her mama but there is her daddy in there too.

She has been saying some really cute things and we have to watch what goes in to "the sponge". This morning, I was talking about the baby coming out of mommy's tummy and she says "cut out with knife". I didn't know where she got that from. Jason informed me that as I was watching Cake Boss with her, they were having a sonogram and talking about a c-section and having to cut her open with a knife. Wow, the correlation sometimes just astounds me, where she gets things. And she does not forget things either.

This morning I also took her to my MOPS (Moms of Preschoolers) get together and she has been doing really well with me leaving her in the nursery and not crying. I tell her that I will come back for her and I'm just downstairs. She is fine and has a good time. I come back and get her and she says, "Mama, you got me. I miss you much" Ahhh! My heart melted.

Night time is quite routine for her. We brush her teeth and she must do it first. With a trace of toothpaste, she puts it in her mouth, shakes her hand and the swishes and spits. Then I can do it for the good brushing. We lay in bed and sometimes read books, but we must always sing "Jesus loves me" "He's got the whole world in his hands" with custom verse of having Daddy, Mommy, Katelyn, Baby, Tucker in his hands, and "This little light of mine" in that order. I ask if I can pray for her and we always have to ask for "peace on the body". We put on some music, say I love you, night night and blow kisses. Last night she came out because I forgot to blow kisses.
Sometimes when I hug her, she says "You're so cute mama" with a little wrinkle in her nose.

We do have a problem with jackets in the car and zippers in general. She doesn't like her zippers up to her neck, but her neck starts at her belly button. As soon as we start zipping, "not my neck, not my neck!" and she pulls it down to her belly button. This has been a constant struggle this winter. Needless to say, we don't go outside much except to go to the car. When we do hit the car and make it in her seat, the jacket must come off no matter what the temp is. I've gotten her to wear it occasionally but otherwise it's coming off whether i help her before hand or not. She has taken it off while under her seatbelt. She is determined. Can we say first born?

It will be interesting to see how she handles another baby. She is always kissing my "baby" and knows there is a baby in mommy's tummy and it will come out and stay with us, she told me that yesterday. I told her she could hold the baby, but she said I could hold the baby instead. She could play and read it books. She threw her hands out, pulled her head back and said "Yes!"
