Kabobs

With the first day of Summer under our belts, the weather finally decided to bring us some much needed heat. With the heat, the a/c was turned on and so was the barbecue! I've been grilling the last couple of days to not heat up the house, but also because I LOVE BBQ! So last night, we had elk kabobs with sweet & sassy bbq sauce from Nebraska someone brought us. I also attempted grilled asparagus, which was amazing.

Looks delish! I hear ya... lately the oven only comes on if it HAS to! I've been craving brownies, but am not wanting the extra heat that goes along with baking them... so this whole heat wave might be helping out the ole' diet, after all! :)

And grilled asparagus is our FAVORITE way to eat it! We also like wrapping it in ham, drizzling a little cheese on top, then baking it! But only in the fall... when the weather cools off, of course! :)
